NNLS Chroma and Chordino: now with chord note output

3 Dezember 2010 828 views No Comment

It was a rather small step for us, but may increase the fun of playing with Chordino by a lot: in addition to the chord estimate, you can now choose a note output that returns the pitch classes of the estimated chord. When you use it in Sonic Visualiser, this means that you can listen to the estimated chords along with the original audio - or without the audio if you’re hard enough. For those of you who do not know what the hell Chordino is: it’s a Vamp plugin for audio feature analysis (not effects!). Actually, it comes in a larger library called NNLS Chroma, which also has two other plugins that can create chromagrams and determine the tuning of a piece of music, among other things.
